RockShox 2012 SID XX 29er suspension fork lockout lever
This lockout lever is better than nothing (Fox does not offer a 29er fork remote lockout). But it’s not easy to operate as configured here: the hand must be moved off the grip, the thumb must find the lever while the bike is bouncing around like crazy, and it’s a toggle offering no unambiguous settings by feel. And it makes no click to confirm anything.

RockShox SID 29 XX
The 2012 RockShox SID 29 XX suspension fork is almost as light as some forks for 26" bikes.
XTR 26 X 38 crankset
On a 29er, a 26 X 38 crankset is roughly equivalent to a 28 X 40 crankset on a bike with 26" wheels. Anyone climbing hills should consider ONLY a 26 X 38, and on the Moots MootoX RSL, the clearance from the chainstay is too tight with a 28 X 40 anyway.

Cassette, dropout, derailleur
The chainstay is wrapped in cloth, details below.
Cloth-wrapped chainstay
Neil at Palo Alto Bicycles suggested wrapping the drive-side chainstay this way when I remarked up on chain slap noise— great idea! It adds less than an ounce to the bike weight, and the bike rides much more quietly on the rough stuff because the chain hits this cloth wrapping instead of titanium metal.
