Dawn in the White Mountains at 11,500'
Awkward aspect ratio, but fun anyway. From the Ricoh GR, 61 megapixels stitched, handheld. The sky blending wasn’t perfect, but could be improved with some work.
Dusk is pretty darn nice too. The Ricoh GR is insanely sharp wide open at f/2.8, extracting superb detail from its 16MP sensor. It is probably sharper than the Leica M Typ 240 most of the time, in total edge-to-edge and near-to-far sharpness. I’d put its lens up against the Leica 28/2.8 Elmarit-M ASPH any day. It’s a pity that the Ricoh GR does not have a 24 megapixel sensor as I see no limit at 16MP for the lens.
The grace of dusk is hard to capture. It is a favorite time of day for me.
