Challenge Grifo Tubular Tire for Cyclocross
The Challenge Grifo tubular tire is a premium hand-made tubular cyclocross racing tire. I tested both the 34C and 32C versions.
I had three immediate tire semi-failures on the front wheel (defective or badly made tires).
Yet a 700 X 32C size worked great (no bulge problems after ~300 miles) and I have gotten a lot of miles on it. Grip with the 32C version is excellent.

Technical features
Oddly, the picture on the Challenge site shows 300 TPI, but the tires I bought are actually 260 TPI, which is also what the specifications say.

Weight
The bike industry cheats on weight. Challenge is no exception, but the weights are quite close, far better than the 10% or more one might find with Veloflex.
I weighed two tires as follows:
423g = +1.9%
427g = +2.8%
Ride quality
Excellent on the Moots Psychlo X RSL.
