Indoor Trainers, Ride Around Mt Ranier In One Day (RAMROD)
Reader Sean Cwrites:
Do you ride indoor Trainers? I'm thinking of purchasing the Tacx Bushido @AMAZON trainer (with PC connection) for the rainy Seattle, WA winters and would love to see a review of your favorite trainer or any trainer. If you want to review the tacx I can purchase it and ship it to you and then pay for you to ship it to me afterwards (Just provide a shipping address).
I'm training for the RAMROD (Ride Around Mount Rainier in One Day) which would be a great training ride for your Everest Challenge Race.
DIGLLOYD: I have a good quality trainer in its box. Our winters are so mild that I just ride outdoors all the time, and I take a rest day if it's really pouring (since I otherwise have a bad habit of never taking a rest day!). I also quickly become bored riding a trainder— I have no TV or similar distraction.
The RAMROD looks fantastic! If I get up that way I’ll have to give it a go. Too bad one cannot ride to the summit! Crevasses are a bit of a problem I suppose. Consider riding to the summit of White Mountain Peak if you’re in California.
