2011 Trek 'Top Fuel 9.9 SSL' Image Gallery

For the 2011 Trek to the Summit of White Mountain Peak, Trek Bicycles sent us two of their top of the line mountain bikes, the Trek Top Fuel 9.9 SSL and the Trek SuperFly 100 Elite 29er.

The test bike arrived well-used, and even needed some parts replaced, so the photographs here are not of a new clean bike. But aside from tubeless tire setup and grips, the pictures shows the stock bike as sold by Trek.

The graphics are painted on, not stickers. So those Trek logos on the frame are real paint!

Personally I could do with less bling; I don’t need double Trek logos and quadruple Bontrager logos on the wheels and tires. Add in the OCLV, TOP, etc stuff and it’ sover the top, not elegant. Custom paint job would make sense on a high end bike like this.

Bontrager XXX carbon fiber rims with Bontrager XR2 Team Issue 26 X 2.1 TLR tires

For the 2011 Trek to the Summit of White Mountain Peak, I had the wheels set up as tubeless, with Stan’s sealant.

Seat tube and seat

Funk shape, but it’s beefy. I reveresed the seat tube to position the seat for a better fit for me.

Front brake rotor and caliper

Those heat-dissipating Shimano XTR brakes are supposed to work well on extended steep downhills.
