Riding Statistics

I just passed the half-million vertical feet mark, though early in the year climbing was not at all the focus, and a bit risky in wet conditions, so the feet per day through May was not so high.

I really ramped-up my climbing beginning in June, because climbing/ascending is what the Everest Challenge is all about.

The 3500' per day or so I’m averaging now is equivalent to about 1.3 million vertical feet per year. A million per year is 2740' per day average. Some of those vertical feet (and miles) are on the mountain bike, but I don’t adjust for that (MTB mileage and ascent is more demanding).

Mileage: 6688
Ascent: 505,476'
Kilojoules: 311,613 (324,000 KCal)
