I wish every piece of gear I have would never have any issue. So do we all. But things do fail and recently my SRM Cannondale Hollowgram power meter crankset on my Moots Vamoots RSL began dropping out to zero regularly.
A product is not just the physical thing one uses, it’s the total package including reliability and service. The three SRM power meters I have on my bikes have been nearly bulletproof.
But when something fails, how does the service stack up?
I overnighted the crankset to SRM. While they did not get it done the very same day it arrived, they got it out the next day. Out Fed Ex on Tuesday, arrived SRM Wednesday, back on its way Thursday, I had it back on Friday. Now THAT kind of service is real value.
The problem turned out to be a bad Reed switch, so that was fixed (no charge), and a new battery installed too. I have nothing but praise for SRM here.
