Coming for Review: Lightweight Autobahn 8-Spoke Time Trial Wheel

The Lightweight VR8 has grown on me, becoming a favorite for all-around riding—really superb for descending (top notch lateral stiffness) and in cross windows (8 spokes). Unfortunately discontinued.

I am excited that in a few weeks the Lightweight Autobahn 8-spoke front tubular wheel will arrive for review (front only). I am not a time-trial guy, but I already envision useful applications for this wheel in my riding, and it should be great fun for descents. Wind is of course a factor, but not every day is windy.

This will allow me to offer an experienced perspective on the Lightweight Standard (Mielenstein), Lightweight Mielenstein Obermayer 16 and 20 spoke, Lightweight VR8 and Lightweight Ventoux (now Gipfelsturm).
