For the custom build of my Moots YBB 26 mountain bike, I looked around for the lightest and strongest pair of UST tubeless-ready wheels I could find.

I did not want a wheelset suitable only for races or special-case use; I wanted a wheelset with a good warranty that I could ride hard each and every day.

I hit pay dirt with the Easton Cycling EC90 XC carbon fiber wheelset— these are by far the best performing and lightest MTB wheels I’ve ever used, and they perform wonderfully on my Moots YBB 26.

I had considered a Stan’s notubes wheelset build, but I wanted a sturdy and light wheelset that hardly ever needs truing and that makes no spoke noise. The Easton EC90 XC is that wheelset.
