My preferred recovery drink —
Hammer Nutrition 'Recoverite'

After a workout, I consume two scoops of Hammer Nutrition 'Recoverite' in 12 oz of water — 170 calories.

Hammer Recoverite contains mostly maltodextrin (for rapid muscle refueling), along with about 23% protein (by calories) and extra glutamine and aminos.

Personal use

Hammer Recoverite works really well for me. Or I should say: well enough for me to sustain severe workloads over the year with no rest days. I rely on it so that I can do the next day’s workout, along with Hammer Whey.

I formerly used Pacific Health Accelerade, but my conclusion as of 2011 is that Recoverite works better. Hammer Recoverite is also free of junk ingredients like artificial dyes and other yuck that is found in Accelerade.

Flavor: I prefer the chocolate flavor.
