I’m acclimating to altitude prior to the Everest Challenge.
Pictures below are from Saddlebag Lake, which is up a side road about a mile east of Yosemite National Park.
The Moots MootoX RSL lies parked temporarily while I compose my photo. Full-finger gloves are a good idea in this type of terrain, even if not cold. It was quite balmy for dusk and late September— very pleasant
The heavy 2010/2011 snowpack waters areas normally dried out by autumn. Fall foliage is beginning to turn, with some brilliant yellows to be found in the high country.
Across the lake is the wilderness area near Mt Conness (Saddlebag Lake is National Forest). The lake is very low due to work being done on the dam.
