I rode the Giro Prolight road cycling shoes in 2011, and they were just about worn out by the end of the year.
For 2012, I have gone with the Sidi Genius Pro Carbon @AMAZON road cycling shoes. They are an exceptionally well-made shoe, and regrettably that means they are heavier. But they fit better, and the heel cup is vastly superior, as is the fastening system. Power transfer and fit matter more than anything.
I’ll have more to report as my feet spend some time in these shoes. I use the eSoles Custom Modular Footbeds in my shoes.
